Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) - Guide to Amsterdam (AMS) Airport

Amsterdam has very good public transport services, although it is also easy to get around on foot or by bicycle. Trains to and from Centraal Station connect Amsterdam with other cities in the Netherlands and Europe, journey times within the Netherlands is never large and trains leave very frequently.

The city has an efficient bus and tram network, as well as water taxis that run between the canals. The trams are the best form of transport and you simply hop on and off (with a pre-bought ticket if you are honest). They run every few minutes between the Dam square area and Leidse Plein.

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is less than 10 miles from the centre of Amsterdam and has flights to international and domestic destinations. It is one of Europe's busiest airports and accessible by train, bus and car. The easiest means of getting there as a tourist is to catch a train from Centraal Station, and they run every 15 minutes.
